KSA #3--Program of Studies
Description: the purposes of the Guide to Education and programs of study germane to the specialization or subject disciplines they are prepared to teach. Teachers know how to use these documents to inform and direct their planning, instruction and assessment of student progress
I utilize the Program of Studies directly in my planning and assessments. I do my best to follow the Backwards by Design model. First, I find the concepts that I am covering, then I decide how I will assess the learning, and then build my activities around the assessment portion.
